It’s no secret amongst artists that we do our best work when we have
freedom to create from the heart.

Anytime I get compliments on my work, anytime there is an uptick in attention on my imagery, it’s 100% always when I am creating completely from the heart: without creative direction, input or expectations from any outside source. This doesn’t mean I don’t listen to my clients and it certainly does not mean I am not trying to tell your story. But when a client comes to an artist with a preconceived notion of what they want, down to the minute details, we are left with no room to create in the way that you appreciate most. We are left with no room to create from our souls. And you all want that from us. Trust me. That’s what you love most from us. That’s what called you to reach out to your favorite artist to create for you. You just don’t realize it.

So my advice to you when commissioning any artist to create for you: let go. Let go, and let us create. Let us ask the questions that guide us through your heart and through the story
that you would like for us to tell.

Give the artist the map and let them navigate the adventure.
